I just returned from a week at Scout Camp in Pennsylvania and it was a blast. I thought it would be a great idea to hike out of camp in search of wildlife. I had heard of deer, raccoon, fox, mice, moles, and other four legged creatures. As I set out I had no idea what was in store for me. I was walking up a path about fifteen minutes outside of camp when I encountered one of my great fears in life....a snake. As it turns out it was not just any snake, it was a timber rattlesnake. I learned later that since it was still mid-morning the snake was lethargic and still soaking up warmth for an active afternoon. I chose to retreat back down the path after taking the video posted above.
